Pregnant women are bombared with conflicting information of what is safe and unsafe for a pregnant woman to use or consume. Some pharmaceutical companies will say their medication is safe during pregnancy and many times they cannot support this claim through any long term studies. Ethical laws are also in place to protect pregnant women, babies and children from being experimented on to further scientific research and this is why many studies are never done.
