Us moms try to do it all! We have all seen the mothers who appear to be Super Mom and we aspire to be her. Super Mom doesn't complain about lack of sleep, her house is always impeccably clean and dinner is ready on the table when hubby walks in the door...all the while with a newborn baby! The rational mothers will be laughing as they read this, as they should...this is nearly physically impossible while caring for a newborn. If we know this isn't feasible then why do so many of us aspire to this idealistic role? This video clears up the confusion and shines a light on postpartum depression and postpartum obsessive compulsive disorder. Many women feel shame with the thoughts that accompany these conditions and don't talk about it, even with their partners. Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Brooke Shields, Courtney Cox and many others have suffered from postpartum depression. The single most important thing you can do for yourself and your family is talk to others and seek help, you are not alone!
